England, Not Tuchel, Deserve to Proud
It’s coming home, the question is when
The group of England players, The veterans and the young guys are special. They have the capacity to win major tournaments, and I have no reason to believe that they won’t. The first half against Argentina in the World Cup semifinal showed the world that they can compete with the best. Not only can compete, they can win.
Let’s ignore the second half of their most recent semifinal for a moment. In the first half the press was intense the competition was fierce. They attacked together and they defended together. Argentina tried to play their typical mind games early, and I love Argentina as much as I love watching England, but England didn’t get sucked into the circus that can be playing against Argentina.

This run of form is no accident, they are so close to a World Cup. They can taste it, and they should. Had they come out in the second half the same way the came out in the first and kept the press up. Contained Messi, that game ends 2-1 England. They’re right there.
England supporters should be disappointed and they should be proud. The coaching change is needed and it’s needed immediately, and it needs to happen well before the Euros.
